This is one of Dottie’s original recipes. It is truly loved by all. I have made it probably a thousand times. For a few years after college, I worked in the kitchen at my college. There were several times that large cases of bananas came in all at the same stage and got overly ripe all at the same time. I perfected this recipe to make as many loaves as the industrial mixer could handle, poured the mix into foil bread pans, and slid them into bake in the large rotary convection oven. And to make great-grandma proud, I almost always made sure to pull a fresh loaf and sliced it warm to share with the kitchen crew. Their favorite was whenever the chocolate chips ended up in the batch!
